Time for Convention!

Hello Ladies of the Peoria Diocese!

Next month, we will host our Biennual Convention in Peoria, and we want YOU there!

Cost for the event is $23 ($25 after Oct. 1st).  Click HERE for registration details.

Make sure someone from  your parish women's group attends.  You will learn more about the benefits of connecting with Catholic women throughout the diocese, and even across the country!

For the schedule for the day, click on the Events tab above.

We are excited to have these speakers join us:

Dr. Sharon Weiss ~  Dr. Sharon Weiss is currently serving in her 5th year as the Superintendent of Schools for the Catholic Diocese of Peoria.  She has served for 38 years in Catholic education as a foreign language teacher, a high school counselor, an elementary school principal, and now as a superintendent.  In 2006, Dr. Weiss was awarded the title of Doctor of Education from Illinois State University with specialization in Educational Leadership.  She has one son, David, and a grandson, Gabriel (in photo), who, as she likes to say, "are God's love letters" to her.

Dr. Rebecca Woodhull ~ Dr. Rebecca Woodhull serves our National Council of Catholic Women (NCCW) as Immediate Past President.  Prior to serving as NCCW president, Dr. Woodhull was a professor of Education at the University of Illinois, Springfield. She has served as president of her Springfield Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. She and husband Woody are parish members of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception where she serves on the Board of the Cathedral School.

Kim Padan ~ Kim Padan joined the Peoria Diocesan Council of Catholic Women Board of Directors in June of 2015, heading up the area of Evangelization.  As a Lay Dominican in formation, she is motivated by the motto "To Praise, to Bless, to Preach."  Kim spent 18 years involved with the pregnancy help ministry in Danville, including 11 as Executive Director.  She and her husband Bruce have been married since 1993.  They have one son Gabriel, who was stillborn, and spent eight years as foster parents of 41 kids.  Kim now speaks and writes about faith, family, and life issues.  She has been published in The Catholic Post and can be found at gabrielsmom.com

There's still time to register.  Hope to see you there!
